Post 2: Reading books and magazines
I try to read
all that I can in my free time, like magazines, articles, and books because I
like to do it and for my work. I read books since I was a kid like 10 or 12
years old, my mother is history teacher so she introduces me famous books and
writers like “One hundred years of solitude” from Gabriel Garcia Marquez, “El
Quijote de la Mancha” from Miguel de Cervantes, “Papelucho” from Marcela Paz,
“Metamorphosis” from Kafka, etc.
Honestly I don’t
remember how many books I read in my life, but I think must be many.
I like different kind of books, such as history, society, culture and politics. But my favorite book is “Rayuela” from Julio Cortázar, it was first read for me like four years ago, and I go back to it occasionally.

I recently read a book of Zygmunt
Bauman
called “consumer life”. I enjoy it very much because explain how works society
at present. It didn’t take me too long to read this book because was written in
a common language so is very easy to read. This book is an attempt to explain
how the society is transformed in a society of consumers and how individuals
became at the same time the merchandise and the marketer. I recommended for anybody
who wants to understand the changes in the life of consumer individuals in
modern society.
